David Ellingsen is a Canadian photo-based artist making work considering biodiversity and the more-than-human world.

His environmental projects are often exhibited in public galleries, museums, and at international photo festivals. Underlining the focus on biodiversity, deforestation, plastic pollution, and climate also feature prominently.

In partnership with this often challenging work, Ellingsen also maintains a long term, restorative practice making time-based landscape photographs. The resulting fine photographs typically appear in private galleries - collected there or from the studio directly - or find their way into the world through those involved in the interior and architectural design sectors.
