GOODBYE TO KODACHROME…

with one comment

The Kodachrome era comes to a close on December 30th with the end of processing at Dwayne’s Photo in Kansas, the last lab still developing this classic film. In partnership with Luz Gallery and the Art in Bloom Festival in Victoria, BC, twelve photographers expose nine botanically themed frames apiece on the last three rolls of film. A curated exhibition and auction of the final prints takes place in March of 2011.

Here are a few previews…can’t wait for the film to come back…

  1. [...] Recently got the processed Kodachrome film back (rough scans below) and the selection process with Luz Gallery is under way. There are a few of us out of the 12 photographers involved with this project that are getting Cibachrome prints done and I can’t wait for that…it’s been ages since I’ve seen one. Come down to the event in March with Quinton and Diana at Luz. I’ll be sure to post the dates as soon as I know. (If you missed Part 1 on this you can check it out here). [...]
