Lenscratch published a feature today on the Hibernus and Sea/Life series…happily coinciding with the opening tonight at Akasha Art Projects.

Lenscratch is a blogzine that explores contemporary photography and offers opportunities for exposure and community. Considered one of the 10 Photography-Related blogs you should be reading by Source Review, Wired.com, and InStyle Magazine.

The beautiful second anniversary issue of Australian on-line journal UYW was released today…an issue which focuses on artists using alternative methods in photography. This edition of Unless You Will was co-curated by founder Heidi Romano and Italy’s Fabio Severo and, along with my Hibernus series, includes wondrous work from Binh Danh (the chlorophyll printing process is breathtaking), Beth Dow and fellow Canadian Curtis Wehrfritz.

Stellar fashion stylist Luisa Rino called up to see about shooting a spread for Real Weddings Magazine for the Fall issue…who can say no.

Out with an indie splash, Magpie Darling is a new British based fashion magazine who have just released their premier issue. My recent shoot with stylist Leila Bani and makeup/hair artist Brenda Bekker appears in a spread inside, as well as on the cover and the website. The always wonderful Michael V. Smith has his second novel “Progress” out in Spring 2011 with Cormorant Books in Toronto. Smith’s first novel, Cumberland (Cormorant Books, 2002), was nominated for the Amazon/Books in Canada First Novel Award. His first book of poetry, What You Can’t Have (Signature Editions, 2006), was short-listed for the ReLit Prize. Most recently, he’s published a hybrid book of concrete poems/photographs, Body of Text (BookThug, 2008), created with yours truly.
