I’m proud to report that the photographs I did last summer for the Vancouver Whitecaps Women’s League contributed to the United Soccer League announcement that the ‘Caps have been honored with the 2011 Women’s League Marketing Award. Alright!

This shot installed in BC Place Stadium is from a while back but I’d never been down this ramp before…and didn’t realize just how big this work was.
Sweet.

The official launch for BC pet food manufacturer Petcurean’s new advertising campaign and re-branding launches today at the Superzoo 2011 trade show in Las Vegas. I photographed animals in action in the studio this summer with Subplot Design for the GO! product line. I’ll post the entire campaign soon…

The results are in…and I’m happy to announce I have received 4 “Honorable Mentions”.

The International Photography Awards is a sister-effort of the Lucie Foundation, where the top three winners are announced at the annual Lucie Awards ceremony. The awards event will be held at the Lincoln Center in New York on October 24, 2011, before returning to Los Angeles in 2012 in celebration of the 10-year anniversary. Over 8,000 submissions from 90 countries were received for the 2011 International Photography Awards with over 70 jurors, the largest to date. The Foundation’s mission is to honor master photographers, discover new and emerging talent, and promote the appreciation of photography. A heartwarming and humbling experience capturing photographs of some of the men and women riding in this year’s Ride to Conquer Cancer which supports cancer research at the BC Cancer Agency. Working for the Ride’s sponsor Enbridge with the agency WAX Partnership Inc from Calgary, we shot on location here in Vancouver during what turned out to be the only two days of sun we’ve had this spring (phew).
