A photograph from the recent study Weather Patterns appears today in jur•nl, an experimental creative project which examines the process of visual research and collaboration.
I was also asked to provide a new thematic starting point for the group…watch for it soon…

“jur•nl are a collective of photography students from the London College of Communication.
Branching out from a theme provided by a guest artist, the group respond with a series of textual / visual pieces and research throughout the week, building towards a collaborative photo shoot each Monday. The cycle begins again each Tuesday with a new theme.”

24 Days at 49 degrees 59′ 44″ North, 125 degrees 0″ 54″ West.
The only variables were the days and the time of day. All were shot at high tide with exactly the same angle, lens, viewpoint, etc.

Wow…this is going to be a beautiful book…

I am excited to announce the upcoming publication of The Last Vispo Anthology: Visual Poetry 1998-2008 by Fantagraphics Books in November, 2012. Four images from the Body of Text series that Michael V. Smith and I created are included in this gorgeous book…if the PDF preview I have seen is anything to go by. I’ll be sure to post again in the autumn when the book is launched.
