Happy to announce that I am a finalist in Photo District News Magazine’s 2011 Great Outdoors competition. The image is part of the Salish Sea series…this one of bull kelp at dawn down at Point Roberts is in the running for the Plants, Animals, Insects, and Gardens category…I’ll update again if things progress…

A heartwarming and humbling experience capturing photographs of some of the men and women riding in this year’s Ride to Conquer Cancer which supports cancer research at the BC Cancer Agency. Working for the Ride’s sponsor Enbridge with the agency WAX Partnership Inc from Calgary, we shot on location here in Vancouver during what turned out to be the only two days of sun we’ve had this spring (phew).

Out with an indie splash, Magpie Darling is a new British based fashion magazine who have just released their premier issue. My recent shoot with stylist Leila Bani and makeup/hair artist Brenda Bekker appears in a spread inside, as well as on the cover and the website.
